Richard L. "Rich" Elvin - University of Minnesota, M.B.A., 1977; University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minnesota, B.S. degree in Finance, 1975. Rich started his career at General Mills with positions in Marketing, Sales and Logistics for domestic and international ventures. He joined Standard Valuations in 2000 after twenty-three years with General Mills. Rich is the President of Standard Valuations and serves as the lead Client Relations and Investment Consultant. Rich also serves on the Board of Directors for Standard Valuations.
Andrew Elvin – Andrew Joined Standard Valuations in 2008 and serves an Investment Consultant while assisting with Business Development. Prior to this Andrew interned at Marquette Asset Management, where he assisted in Sales and Marketing. He serves on the Board of Directors for Standard Valuations.
Andrew earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications and Business Administration at Minnesota State University in 2008.
Scott Spalding, CFA – Scott joined Standard Valuations in 2021 and serves as an Investment Consultant with a focus on Business Development. Earlier in his career Scott was the Director of Business Development and Consultant Relations at Sit Investment Associates where he was responsible for acquiring and servicing new clients within Sit’s equity strategies. He also served as Director of Consultant Relations for FAF Advisors (now Nuveen Investments) where he was responsible for servicing consultants across the country.
Scott earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting at Winona State University in 1994. He is a CFA charter holder.
C. Dean Derby - University of Washington, B.A., 1958; Awarded “Athlete of the Year,” 1957. Dean played professional football with the Pittsburgh Steelers (1957-61), and the Minnesota Vikings (1961-62); He was team captain and defensive signal caller for the Steelers and was awarded “All Pro,” 1959. Since his retirement from professional football Dean has been a respected leader in the Twin Cities business community. He became an innovator in the performance measurement industry when he founded Standard Valuations, Inc. in 1975. He continues today as the owner and serving as the Chairman on the Board of Directors for Standard Valuations.
Margie Ricci - University of Wisconsin-River Falls, River Falls, Wisconsin, B.S., 1999, School of Business And Economics; emphasis on Business Administration with Music Minor; Attended the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire, 1978-1982 with a joint major in Music and Mathematics. Margie joined Standard Valuations in 1986 after four years of banking experience with Norwest in Edina, Minnesota and First Federal in Hudson, Wisconsin. She has database, spreadsheet and programming expertise in the Performance Measurement/Financial field and serves as Production Manager.
Arlyn Anderson - St. Cloud State University, St. Cloud, Minnesota, B.A. degree in English. Involved in the investment business for more than 30 years, Arlyn was co-founder of Security Schools (now Dearborn Financial), as well as Director of Training for Piper, Jaffray and Hopwood. He has consulted to the Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver Stock Exchanges and has served on several committees of the New York Stock Exchange. Arlyn has been a full-time consultant for Standard Valuations since 1986.
